Whether for transportation or for sheer joy, automobiles and car culture have become pervasive in our culture to the point that most can’t live without one.
While most citizens throughout the world own a car – 253.6 million vehicles were registered in the United States in 2012 alone, according to the Federal Highway Administration – people select their cars for a wide variety of reasons including, fuel economy, comfort, speed, or style.

What kind of car do you drive?
“I have a Honda Insight Hybrid, which I bought this past year.”

What do you like about it?
“It is great for the environment and is phenomenal on gas. I wanted to buy a hybrid to lessen my carbon footprint.”

Where are some of your favorite places to drive?
“I like to drive around Worcester to all of the great local events. In Massachusetts, I like driving to the Berkshires and to Boston.”

What do you and your family listen to when you are driving around?
“We usually listen to 90.1, Christian radio, or Pandora. We are a very eclectic family; we listen to a lot of different cultural genres of music. But for the most part, we listen to gospel or Christian contemporary.”

What was your first car?
“My first car was a Buick Skylark. I got it at the Buick dealership right here in Worcester when I graduated college.”
