Darby
Darby is a handsome, super sweet mixed breed with a great personality. He is 5 years old but you would never know as he doesn’t look a day over 3…at least that’s what he will tell you! Darby is a perfect size weighing in at around 40 pounds, ideal for sharing forts in the backyard for scheming summer shenanigans.
Darby loves to go for walks! When he sees the leash and harness come out he is ready to hit the pavement. Tennis balls are his absolute FAVORITE, if you are up to it he will fetch that ball for you as long as you let him. He knows his basic commands of sit, down, and a little bit of stay. -
Rebecca
Rebecca is a gorgeous adult female chihuahua who is 8-10 years old who is good with dogs and children. For her age, she is very peppy. Her dream home would have a fenced in yard so she could trot and prance around and run very fast!
She is a snuggle bug and snuggles on the couch! She is extremely friendly and very gentle - making her great with children. -
Wally
Wally is a 9 pound little chihuahua with a lot of love to give. Wally is house trained and does well in his crate while his foster parents are away from home. Wally loves playing with the other 4 dogs in the house above all else. He absolutely loves other dogs and will play endlessly!
Zoomies around the yard and playing 'chase' is when Wally is at his happiest. He would be a perfect addition to another pack of smaller dogs. He fit right in with his current foster brothers and sisters no problem. -
Goober
Goober is a ten month old Irish Wolfhound Staffordshire Terrier Mix that bonds quickly and loves to snuggle. His weight is a healthy 65 pounds.
Goober is eager to please and consistently will sit and give you his paw when asked. His foster mom is working on the “stay” command. For fun, Goober enjoys running after a ball or other toys. He has not got the hang of “drop it”, but his foster mom believes he has a lot of potential to learn. Goober walks well with a harness.

Summer
My name is Summer, and I'm an energetic one year old mixed breed (pittie? lab? kelpie? it's a mystery!) who loves people. I weigh in at a handy 35 lbs. You may have noticed my magnificent ears! They're very beautiful, aren't they?
Here's the deal. I am fit and energetic and VERY athletic. I love to run and I will chase balls forever and I can jump over 5' straight up in the air! I am also very, very smart and curious. I am definitely not the right dog for everyone! My dream is an experienced owner who can provide the time, predictability, and structure that I thrive with. I need a backyard with a physical fence (not an invisible fence)-- I'll happily go running with you, but I need to get the zoomies out in an open space as well. I am very food motivated, and I will learn what you want very quickly! But I am never going to turn into a couch potato type dog, so I need you to love me for who I am.

Peanut
Peanut is a 6 year old orange long-haired beauty whose owners had to surrender her because she didn't adjust to the new baby, despite her family's best efforts.
Peanut is a bit of a Diva kitty. She is not a good fit for children or other cats. She is looking for a home where she can be the queen. She is in foster right now as she didn't do well in the Adoption Center environment. Please come meet her if you have a great home for her with plenty of love and room! She loves to be pet on her own terms and will let you know when she is done. She likes to be around you a lot so a home where someone is home a lot of time is a great home for her! -
Micki
Micki is a loving orange and white tabby who has white mittens and a beautiful ringed tail. He's nine years old and a total lover. Micki is affectionate, handsome and trusting of humans.
Micki is very submissive (he's a lover not a figher!) and does not do well with other dominant cats. Dogs are also a no go for this handsome dude. Micki is currently on medication to help him cope with living with his foster brother (dominant cat - they are completely separated, but Micki is still uneasy), but could be weaned off of these meds shortly after adjusting to his new home.

Alliby
Alliby (AKA Allie) is a wonderful gorgeous little kitty. She is very curious and she loves to follow you around the house. She loves affection and is very friendly.
She is on the smaller side with a beautiful, soft calico coat that barely sheds.
Allie is twelve years young, but she looks and acts like a much younger kitty! She is always bouncing around, exploring boxes, sleeping under blankets and making herself little nests on the couch.

Lucia
Lucia (pronounced loo-sha) is a very pretty, friendly, yellow-eyed grey kitty, eight years old and super sweet. Lucia is very social and is looking for her forever home complete with a loving, kind person she can cuddle with and shower with gentle head bumps.
Lucia has had some thinning of her coat, possibly due to malnutrition or a flea allergy, but that's turning around now that she's on a steady, nutritious diet of healthy food and affectionate attention from Broken Tail volunteers.
