Samson
Samson here to tell you that I'm a friendly 50 pound boy looking for a forever home! My previous owner loved me very much, but the landlord wouldn't allow dogs so I need to find a new family. My favorite thing is my orange ball -- I'll play with it for hours! I lived in a home with six children, so I'd be great in a home with kids. I also lived with younger cats, so I will likely be fine with cats with a slow introduction.

Revis
Hello, my name is Revis! My previous owner loved me very much, but the landlord wouldn't allow dogs so I need to find a new family. My favorite things are playing with my toys and curling up in my crate to rest afterwards. I lived in a home with six children, so I'd be great in a home with kids. I also lived with younger cats, so I will likely be fine with cats with a slow introduction.

Buddy
Buddy is a five month old puppy who currently weighs in around 28 pounds.
He's a mix of "we don't know what, your guess is as good as ours". He does awesome with his crate training and loves to play with other dogs. Buddy thinks he's a lap dog and loves cuddles!
-
Kiki
Kiki is a 6 year old chihuahua who is about 11lbs. She can be very shy at first, but soon become a cuddle bug. Once you're on the couch with her she won't leave your side. She likes to play with other dogs, but it will take some time for her to develop trust. She might not be another dogs best friend right away, but once she feels things out she just wants to play! Kiki has an incredibly soft coat and is perfect for snuggling. She is very well behaved in her crate as well.

Rufus
Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.
At just 2 1/2 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be. -
Buttercup
Buttercup is a beautiful three year old tabby who has had a rough time. She was found on the streets with a litter of kittens after her family moved away. Her kittens have all been adopted, but poor Buttercup has a congenital eye condition (eyelid agenesis) that requires surgery. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Broken Tail Rescue donors, her surgery has been scheduled and she will be available for adoption in early August.
-
Boo
Boo is a gentle 8 year old tabby who came to BTR after treatment for a uterine infection. Boo is healing well and she accepts pets even though she's a bit shy in her new surroundings. A soft touch and quiet reassurance may be the way to this petite girl's heart.

Cabernet
What a change a loving environment makes! Since moving into a foster home, two-year-old Cabernet (also known as Grayson) has blossomed into a confident, loving cat. Initially quite shy, he now engages in sessions of intense purring and petting with his foster mom.
Cabernet has also rediscovered the joy of play and can get quite caught up in stalking a good feather toy. He also enjoys soccer, chasing and knocking the ball around, sometimes into the wee hours after the rest of the house has settled down to sleep. -
Allie
Allie is kind of a diva in the best way possible. She is very curious- she likes to follow you around the house and prefers affection in small doses. She is on the smaller side with a beautiful, soft calico coat that barely sheds.
Allie may be twelve but she looks and acts like a five year old! She is always bouncing around, exploring boxes, hiding under blankets and making herself little nests on the couch. -
Peter
Peter is a one year old domestic long hair that is currently being fostered in Cambridge. Peter is a shy cat, who was initially brought into the rescue from a hoarding situation, so he is still learning to come out of his shell. He absolutely loves other cats, and needs a home with a friendly resident cat who can show him the ropes.
Peter's favorite thing to do is lounge in the sun, and he will happily find a warm spot to lay in for most the day. He is very food motivated, and loves treats. While he is nervous, he has really blossomed in his foster home, and now wanders around and plays with his foster brother cat out in the open.Read More
