Glassblowing Flowers for Mom at New Street Glass Studio
After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own floppy bowl from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace. Students will be guided through the steps of applying colors of their choosing, to creating a unique flower top, to applying and pulling a stem.
The class goes from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

20th Annual Art in the City at Mechanics Hall
Join in for an evening of art and entertainment featuring a fabulous selection of original artwork created by dozens of local artists.
Whether you are new to the arts, an avid collector, or just out for a night of fun, dont miss this celebration!
All proceeds support the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive health, dental, vision, and social services for low-income and uninsured patients at Family Health Center of Worcester, Family Health Center - Southbridge, and the Lois B. Green Breast Health Center.

4th Annual Worcester County Dance Festival at Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts
The Worcester County Dance Festival is an evening of diverse dance celebrating New England’s talented schools and companies on one stage.
The festival offers a supportive atmosphere aimed at fostering a creative exchange of ideas and providing opportunities to experience a wide spectrum of dance and movement disciplines. Participants get the unique experience and opportunity to perform at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Bask in hundreds of blooming African violets in a variety of displays, including many unusual African violets available for sale.

Worcester Craft Brew Races
The Craft Brew Races are set to return to Worcester for its only stop in Massachusetts.
The Worcester Craft Brew Races course is 3.1 mile/5K run (or walk) that starts at City Hall, goes down Chandler St., turns north on Park Ave. past Elm Park, before heading back down Pleasant St. with a finish at the Worcester Common on Front St.
The beer festival will take place at the Worcester Common. Designated driver and festival-only tickets are also available.
The event is strictly for participants 21 years or older.
The run starts at noon, with the festival doors opening at 12:30.

Rushnyky: Sacred Ukrainian Textiles at Museum of Russian Icons
A rushnyk is a long, rectangular cloth, typically made from linen or hemp, which is woven in one solid piece and sometimes adorned with bright, intricate patterns. They are traditionally made by women, who start learning to spin, weave, and embroider the cloths at a very young age. Today most rushnyky are machine made using modern materials, and can be purchased in retail establishments.
The exhibit goes from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m.
