September turns into October this weekend and Worcester is jam-packed with events for all ages. 

This weekend's events include the Sleepy Hollow Experience at Old Sturbridge Village, live music from Dale LePage and much more.

How many events and activities can you get to? 

  • September 29

    Clark University Book Sale 

    More than 7,000 books are available priced at $1 for hardcovers and 50¢ for paperbacks. The only exception is several separated tables with over 700 books individually priced from $3 to $25.

    On Friday, all books will be half-price.

    The book sale runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • September 29

    Glassblowing Pumpkins at New Street Glass Studio 

    After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own pumpkin from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace.

    Students will choose their own colors and instructors will guide the class through the steps from gathering to applying colors, from blowing out the bubble to spinning it open to create each unique floppy shape.

    No experience is necessary and all materials are included. 

    The event goes from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    Manhattan Short Film Festival at Preservation Worcester Park View Room 

    With short films selected from 1,615 entries from 75 countries, the "Manhattan Short Film Festival" announces the 10 finalists from USA, Italy, Latvia, New Zealand, Georgia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria and the United Kingdom. 

    The final 10 short films will entertain a global audience of over 100,000 film-lovers in over 250 venues across six continents.

    The event goes from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

    Holy Cross Football vs Lafayette 

    The Holy Cross Crusaders are looking to get back on the winning path when they host Lafayette on Saturday at Fitton Field. 

    The Crusaders are 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Patriot League. 

    The game is set for 1 p.m.

    Davis Mega Farm Festival

    The Davis Mega Farm Festival features live music, a BBQ, a zip line and of course the mega corn maze. 

    The festival goes from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    The Sleepy Hollow Experience at Old Sturbridge Village 

    At The Sleepy Hollow Experience, guests will be guided through the Village's countryside where they will encounter Ichabod Crane, Katrina Van Tassel, Brom Bones and quite possibly the Headless Horseman.

    Each outdoor performance is approximately 1.5 hours long, and requires standing and walking. 

    The event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

    Pet Portrait Workshop at Worcester Art Museum 

    If you are an animal lover and want to learn how to paint a portrait of your petwith personality this is the workshop for you.

    Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned painter, discover how animals influence art today and learn how to incorporate animals into your work. Prerequisite: at least one previous art course preferred.

    The workshop goes from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    5K Fun Run/Walk at Assumption College 

    Join the Worcester Children's Chorus at their annual 5K Fun Run/Walk at the beautiful Assumption College campus! All proceeds to support a chorus festival trip to Montreal this June.

    Registration begins at 9:30 am; the race begins at 10:00 am.

    There will also be prizes, refreshments & music by the Chorus.

    The event goes from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
