Blizzard Juno left Worcester and the surrounding areas with a historic 33.5 inches of snow. There is no reason to let all that snow go to waste. 

Here are some of Central Mass residents' favorite go-to spots for sledding.

  • Green Hill Park, Worcester

    Green Hill Park is located atop one of Worcester's seven main hills. It is bordered on the north by I290, on the south by Route 9 (Belmont Street), on the west by Channing, Uxbridge and Denmar Streets (parallel to Lincoln Street), and to the east by Skyline Drive.

    Being that the park is located on hill, it makes for a great place to go sledding. 

     
  • Quinsigamond State Park, Worcester

    Quinsigamond State Park consists of two sites located on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester: Regatta Point and Lake Park. The 25 acre Regatta Point area offers facilities for swimming, sailing, picnicking and fishing.

    Quinsigamond State Park makes for a great place to sled for the entire family.

  • Holy Cross College, Worcester

    The College’s 174-acre hillside campus features inspiring views located on 1 College Street in Worcester. 

    The hills at the Holy Cross Campus present great oppurtunities for sledding. 

     
  • Hadwen Park, Worcester

    Hadwen Park is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The park can be reached from Webster Square by taking Webster Street to Knox Street to the stone gate entrance to the park. Parking is allowed on Knox Street, and there are no entrance fees.

    Hadwen Park provides great areas for sledding for children of all ages. 

     
  • Fairlawn Hospital, Worcester

    The hospital is located at 189 May Street in Worcester.

    The hospitals campus provides great hills for families to go sledding. 

     
  • WPI, Worcester

    WPII's sprawling New England campus is set on a secluded hilltop located at 100 Institute Road, Worcester.  

    The campus provides great hills for sledding. 

     
  • Airport Hill, Worcester

    Airport Hill is one of seven hills in Worcester and is a great place to for kids and families to go sledding. 

     
  • Westboro Country Club, Westborough

    Golf Courses are always great places for sledding.

    Westboro Country Club is located on Route 30 (Main Street) in Westborough, MA, only 10 minutes from the intersection of Route 9, Route 495 and the Mass Pike. 

     
  • Ski Ward in Shrewsbury

    Ski Ward is located on 1000 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA and is a great place for smaily fun, not only sledding but tubing and skiing as well. 

    Lift tickets for ages 6 and up are $30 while ages 5 and under get in for $10. 

    Season passes are also available. 
     

     
  • Benjamin Hill in Shirley

    Benjamin Hill is located at 93 Benjamin Rd. in Shirley, MA. 

    The sledding hill is open from dawn to dusk, wheather permitting and is for sleds and tubes only. 

    The Sledding Hill is not supervised. 

     
  • Rocketland in Auburn

    Rocketland is located on 400 Oxford street right across from the police station. 

    This is a multi use complex of 24.4 acres which contains great places for sledding. 

     
  • Pakachoag Golf Course in Auburn

    Pakachoag Golf Course is located on 15 Upland St, Auburn, MA. 

    The natural hills an and valleys of the course make for some great sledding fun. 

     
  • Tamers Hill in Auburn

    Tamers Hill in Auburn is a fun place for kids and families to go sledding.
