There is still limited availability at the end of August, while September and October are filing up.
“Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds come together on our farms to grow fruits and vegetables for their neighbors in need. From starting seeds in the greenhouse and planting seedlings in the spring, to tending, harvesting, and washing the crops all summer long and into the fall – our volunteers do it all! It’s hard work but we make it simple enough that everyone can make an impact regardless of age or experience. You will meet great people engaged in rewarding work that has amazing end results,” said Community Harvest Project.
Community Harvest Project welcomes all ages and sizes (from 5 up to 100) at their North Grafton location (May 1-October 21), and groups (up to 30) of high school age and up at their Harvard location (September 4-October 15).
Volunteer shifts are 9 a.m.to noon

Go Karting at R1 Indoor Karting Entertainment Center

The R1 Indoor Karting Entertainment Center recently opened in Lincoln showcasing fast electric karts with top technology.
The karts can go up to 45MPH but they are “smart” karts, so you work you way up to that speed.
R1 features a “Junior” track for ages 6-15 and an “Adult” track, both with four-speed levels. All karts are electric and powered by green technology.

Since 1983, the Boston Fire Museum has operated in the old firehouse on Congress street showing off the history of the Boston Fire Department. The Museum shows off antique fire equipment, fire alarm displays, photo displays, and artifacts.

U.S. Navy Submarine Force Museum and USS Nautilus

Nautilus was the first nuclear-powered submarine and the first vessel to travel 20,000 leagues under the sea. The ship is now open to the public year-round and is free.
