Romanian violinist Irina Muresanu brings her program, Four Strings Around the World, to WamsWorks on Friday, April 13. Featuring works from most continents, the programs also includes works by a number of living composers, including Holy Cross Professor of Music Shirish Korde.

On Friday, April 20, The Worcester Chorus performs Bach's masterpiece, St. Matthew Passion, in a newly rediscovered version by Felix Mendelssohn.

This performance will be only the second time the work has been performed in the United States, and a host of soloists join Maestro Chris Shepard on the stage of Mechanics Hall. A feature story about the first US performance in Philadelphia may be found here.

The genre-bending, limit-pushing organist Cameron Carpenter takes the stage of Mechanics Hall on Saturday, April 28 with his own specially-built International Touring Organ.
