Music Worcester to Host Concert Benefiting LGBTQ+ Communities

Music Worcester is set to put on a benefit concert of “Considering Matthew Shepard” to raise funds for the regions LGBTQ+ communities.

The benefit concert will take place on Sunday, November 11 at 6 p.m. at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.

The show will benefit four organizations including Worcester Pride, Safe Homes, LGBT Asylum Task Force and AIDS Project Worcester.

Considering Matthew Shepard

Considering Matthew Shepard commemorates the 20th anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s death in Wyoming.

The show will feature the professional chorus CONCORA and include movements ranging from chant to Gospel, and texts ranging from excerpts of Matthew Shepard’s own journals to love poetry across the centuries.
