Pearl Jam performed to a sellout crowd at Fenway Park on Sunday for a spectacular evening of rock.

The famed ballpark kicked off the first of two sold-out nights for the band at Fenway. Crazed fans traveled from all over the country to experience the moment. Superb weather, great vibes, and powerful music made for a special evening.

Pearl Jam was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in its first year of eligibility in 2017. The band’s lineup which has remained the same, for the most part, since its inception in 1990 was rock solid. Led by the haunting voice of frontman Eddie Vetter, the group consisted of original members Mike McCready (lead guitar), Steve Gossard (rhythm guitar), Jeff Ament (bass), and longtime mates Matt Cameron (drums) and Boom Gaspar (piano).

The band played flawlessly through a thirty song set that included many of their hits with the likes of “Alive,” “Even Flow,” “Daughter,” “Corduroy,” “Black,” “Once,”and a dynamite cover of Neil Young’s classic “Rockin’ in the Free World.”

GoLocalWorcester was there to cover this special event.
