Worcester Public Library challenges adults to read 5,000 books |
The reading challenge runs through May 31, 2018, and challenges adults to read 5,000 books.
“The new WooReads challenge was created based on patron feedback. Participants stated they enjoyed logging their reading activity, winning prizes, and having a community-wide goal,” said Pingsheng Chen, Public Services Coordinator.
The Reading Challenge
The goal is to read 5,000 books as part of the challenge - encouraging adults to pick up a book, and creating a community of readers.
Participants aged 18 and over can sign-up to take part in the WooReads Challenge anytime between now and May 31. The more you read, the better your chance of winning a prize.
Recently, the adult summer reading challenge invited adults to take part in the community goal to Read a Million Minutes. Five hundred and sixty-six adult readers signed up, and read a combined 964,617 minutes.
