First Ever MA Transportation Summit to Be Held in Worcester

The first ever state-wide transportation summit will be held on May 1 in Worcester at the DCU Center. The summit, which is being run by Transportation for Massachusetts, will examine key aspects of transportation in the Commonwealth including the future of public transportation, and the reforms needed to improve transportation in the 21st century.

The event is titled Fixing What We Have - Building What We Need: A gathering of visionaries, innovators and doers.

Here are the four programs of the event:

  • Digging Out - The reforms and resources needed to build a 21st century transportation system
  • Full State Ahead – Ten top visionaries present big ideas on the next generation of transportation solutions
  • Charting the Next Four Years – An interactive session with state officials on the state’s transportation direction
  • Building Bridges – Working together across regions

Keynote Speakers include MA Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack and ZipCar Founder Robin Chase.
