Mother of Three Stabbed to Death in Fitchburg

A mother of three kids was stabbed to death outside of her home in Fitchburg late Tuesday night, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Jennifer Narvaez-Colon the mother of kids ages 13,12,8 was pronounced dead due to her injuries at UMass Memorial - University Campus in Worcester on Wednesday at 12:36 a.m.

The kids were removed from the home.

The Incident

Narvaez-Colon was found in the street outside her home at 35 Wanoosnoc Road after Fitchburg Police responded to 911 calls at 10:17 last night. She was taken to UMass Memorial Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster, then to UMass Memorial – University Campus in Worcester where she was pronounced dead at 12:36 a.m. today.

Wanda Liz Gonzalez, 33, also of 35 Wanoosnoc Road, was charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police found Gonzalez in a bedroom bleeding from wounds to her head and neck.

She is being treated UMass Memorial – University Campus.

She was arraigned at the hospital this afternoon. Judge Christopher LoConto entered a not guilty plea on her behalf and continued her case to Friday for a dangerousness hearing in Fitchburg District Court.
