NEW: Worcester State University Investigating Armed Sexual Assault

Authorities at Worcester State University are investigating an armed assault that recently occurred on campus, said officials.
The student was assaulted on campus earlier in the week and reported the incident last night, said the university in a statement.
The perpetrator – who is currently unknown – had allegedly used a knife in the attack.
University police are currently investigating. Officials at the university were planning to hold a press conference at some point today but have since cancelled it, citing minimal additional information as the reason for cancellation.
