Second Person Arrested in Connection to Assault & Robbery on Mt. Pleasant Street

A man has been arrested in connection to the Mt. Pleasant Street assault and robbery of a 41-year-old man. 

Robert Ester, 52, of Worcester was located on Thursday afternoon and placed under arrested. He is being charged with attempted unarmed robbery and breaking and entering into a locked car. 

He is the second person to be arrested in connection with this incident. 

Earlier in the day, Sheila Pagan-Arigo, 25 of Worcester was arrested and charged with attempted unarmed robbery and breaking and entering into a locked car. She was arrested after being questioned by police. 

The Incident 

On Monday May 15 at about 11:20 p.m., police were sent to Mt. Pleasant St for a report of a man laid out on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, they saw the forty-one year old victim, who appeared to be extremely disoriented, on the ground. He was unable to give a lucid description of what had happened to him. The victim was transported to the hospital with a possible head injury.

The investigation revealed that the man had been attacked and robbed. The preliminary investigation indicates that as the man walked to his car, he was struck in the head from behind and fell to the ground. His attacker appeared to strike him in the head again, and take something from his pockets. The attacker left.

As the victim was unconscious on the ground, a group of people walked to the victim and began going through his clothes. They took his keys from his person and used them to enter his locked car. They took several items out of the vehicle before leaving the victim on the ground and walking away.
