State Senator Anne Gobi announced several fire safety grants being awarded to towns through the Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E) and Senior SAFE programs.

“This grant funding goes a long way towards ensuring that our children and seniors are educated and prepared in the event of a fire emergency. Young or old, everyone needs a plan and I am proud that we are able to offer potentially lifesaving knowledge and resources to those most in need. I applaud the continued efforts of our local fire departments for maintaining the highest level of service and professionalism in our communities,” said Gobi.
