The Incident

On Tuesday at about 5:50 p.m., a motor vehicle stop in Millbury led to the arrest of a Uxbridge man for his second offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and four warrants, among other charges.

Trooper Esmaily Santana, was on patrol on Route 146 North when he saw a white Honda Oddessey traveling with un-removed snow/ice on top of the vehicle. Trooper Santana stopped the car near exit 10 in Millbury.

The operator, who was unable to produce a valid driver’s license upon Trooper Santana’s request, initially falsely identified himself but provided two false names and false date of birth.

As a result of an investigation, Trooper Santana was able to positively identify the operator as, Mellen of Uxbridge.

A check with the registry of motor vehicle revealed Mellen’s license was suspended and was the subject of four warrants out of Worcester and Leominster District Courts for larceny and shoplifting offenses.
