Victim Identified in Fatal Route 495 Crash

The driver in a fatal single-car crash on Route 495 has been identified as Olenrewaju Esaojo, 23 of Providence.

The accident is still under investigation. 

No further information is currently available. 

The Incident

Tuesday morning at about 5:15 a.m., State Police responded to a single-car crash on Route 495 northbound in Franklin which resulted in the death of the driver.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Brian Soares indicates that a 2011 Toyota was traveling on Route 495 northbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver, 23-year-old Esaojo, lost control of the car and struck an arrow board causing the car to rollover into the median.

The operator was determined deceased at the scene.
