Worcester Man Arrested for Distribution of Oxycodone

A Worcester Police officer on an undercover job pulled over a car that he recognized as part of a May 10 drug investigation and took the operation into custody. 

The operator, Alexis Quinones, 31, of 21 Merrick Street was charged with distribution of a class B substance, trafficking in class B substance and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws. 

The Incident 

On Tuesday, May 24 a Worcester Police officer working in an undercover capacity out of the vice squad came upon a motor vehicle in traffic that he recognized in a past drug investigation on May 10. The vehicle was being operated by a male on Belmont Street by Route 290. The vice officer called for assistance for a marked police cruiser to stop the suspect vehicle. 

Once the vehicle was stopped, the officer approached and recognized the driver as Alexis Quinones, 31, and placed him under arrested based on a May 10 drug investigation. 

Officers searched the suspect vehicle. The search produced 128 individual pills of oxycodone, a class B substance. 

A search of Quinones produced $919.00 in cash. The cash and narcotics were confiscated.
