Freshman Caleb Green poured in a career-high 22 points, but the
Holy Cross Crusaders fell 87-76 to Fairleigh Dickinson at Stratis Arena on Wednesday night.
The loss drops the Crusaders to 2-2 on the season.
Holy Cross Can’t Hold on
Holy Cross led by seven, 62-55, with eight minutes left in the game, but were unable to close.
Fairleigh Dickinson went on a 17-2 run to take a 72-64 lead with just a few minutes left to go.
Holy Cross would battle back to get within four, but would get no closer.
The Crusaders shot 48.3 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from three in the game.
Next up
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, November 25 when they host Albany.
Game time is set for 1:05 p.m.
