Holy Cross Falls to Bucknell 69-48

The Holy Cross Crusaders men’s basketball team fell to the Bucknell Bison 69-48 on Monday night at the Hart Center.

The Crusaders were led by junior Matt Faw, who scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds for his first career double-double.

The loss drops Holy cross to 3-25 overall and 2-13 in the Patriots League, while Bucknell improves to 11-17 overall and 7-8 in the conference.

With the game tied a 21 in the first half, the Bison scored six straight points to take a 27-21 lead.

Bucknell would take a 30-25 lead into the locker room at the half.

In the second half, Bucknell would open the frame on a 17-5 run to take a 47-30 lead with 11:55 to play in the game.

The Crusaders would get no closer than 15 points the rest of the way.

Holy Cross shot just 37% from the Feild and 21% from three in the game.

Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, February 23 when they visit Colgate.

Game time is set for 2 p.m.
