Holy Cross Falls to Lehigh 71-67 Despite 16 Points From Charles

Karl Charles poured in 16 points and dished out five assists, but the
Holy Cross Crusaders fell 71-67 to Lehigh at the Hart Center.
The loss drops Holy Cross to 7-15 on the year and 4-7 in the Patriot League.
Lehigh improves to 9-13 overall and 4-7 in the Patriot League.
Holy Cross Falls Short
Holy Cross trailed 35-33 lead at halftime, before Lehigh opened the second half on a 16-2 run to take a commanding 51-35.
The Mountain Hawks led by as many as 19 points, 61-42, with nine minutes to go before the Crusaders went on a 13-2 run to climb back into the game.
Lehigh was still up by 12, 67-55, with four minutes left, when Holy Cross scored 10 straight points to cut Lehigh’s lead to 67-65.
Holy Cross had the ball down by two with less than 30 seconds to play, but a three by freshman guard Caleb Green was off the mark and the Mountain Hawks went on to knock down all four of their free throws in the final 10 seconds to seal the win.

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, February 3 when they travel to Loyola.
