Holy Cross falls to New Hampshire 28-0
The Holy Cross Crusaders football team fell 28-0 to the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday afternoon in New Hampshire.

The loss drops the Crusaders to 1-5 on the season, while New Hampshire improves to 1-4 overall.

New Hampshire got on the board early in the first quarter when quarterback Trevor Knight found Kieran Presley for a one-yard touchdown pass to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead after the extra point by Jason Hughes.

The Wildcats would score again with 5:40 to go in the first quarter when Knight hit Sean Coyne for a six-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-0 Wildcats after a Hughes extra point.

After a scoreless second quarter, New Hampshire’s offense kept got things rolling again in the third quarter.

Knight found Malone-Woods for a three-yard touchdown pass to make the score 21-0 after a Hughes kick.

New Hampshire would add another touchdown at the end of the quarter to take a 28-0 lead.

New Hampshire would cruise to the win in the fourth quarter.

Holy Cross quarterback Geoff Wade completed 18 of 33 passes for 130 yards with two interceptions.

The Crusaders offense managed only a total of 203 yards in the game.

Holy Cross returns to action on Friday, October 12 when they visit Harvard.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
