Holy Cross Football Drops 2nd Straight Game, Fall 10-7 to Lafayette

This was the first time in over 15 years in which the Crusaders have held an opponent to negative rushing yards.
The Crusaders drop to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League. Holy Cross has dropped two straight games.
Holy Cross Falls Short
Holy Cross led 7-0 late in the third quarter until Lafayette cornerback Sean O’Malley hit Rocco Palumbo on a 32-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7 after the extra point.
The game would remain tied until late in the fourth quarter when Lafayette kicker Jeffrey Kordenbrock nailed a 43-yard field goal as the clock ran out to win the game 10-7.
The Crusaders offense put up 319 yards of total offense, but struggled to score.
Holy Cross drove the ball into Lafayette territory five times in the first half, but only managed one touchdown on a run by Miles Alexander.
Holy Cross would turn the ball over on downs twice, and also missed a 41-yard field goal.
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, October 7 when they host Monmouth at 1 p.m.
