The win is Holy Cross’ third straight and improves them to 4-6 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League.
Holy Cross Rallies
Trailing 10-0 in the third quarter the Crusaders got on the board when quarterback Geoff Wade threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Derek Mountain to make the score 10-7.
Mountain finished the game with a career-high five catches for 60 yards and a touchdown.
The Crusaders then took the lead when Wade connected with Martin Dorsey on a five-yard touchdown pass to give Holy Cross a 14-10 lead.
Holy Cross added to their lead in the fourth quarter when kicker Derek Ng nailed a 37-yard field goal to put the Crusaders up 17-10.
Fordham would add a 34-yard Mevis field goal with 2:15 left to play, and would get the ball back one last time trailing by four.
But on the final play of the game, Tim DeMorat’s pass into the end zone fell incomplete and Holy Cross held on for the victory.
