Holy Cross cruises past Lehigh
The Holy Cross Crusaders earned their second win of the season, cruising past Lehigh 56-0 on Saturday afternoon at Fitton Field.

The win improves Holy Cross to 2-6 on the season and 1-2 in the Patriot League.

Lehigh drops to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Holy Cross Cruises

The Crusaders got on the board in the first quarter when quarterback Geoff Wade connected with Derek Mountain on a 22-yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead following an extra point from Derek Ng.

The Crusaders offense would roll from there.

In the opening minute of the second quarter, Holy Cross’ Peter Oliver ran in a touchdown from two-yards out to put the Crusaders up 14-0 following the extra point by Ng.

It would be Oliver’s first of two touchdowns in the game.

Five minutes later, Domenic Cozier broke a 16-yard touchdown run to give Holy Cross a 21-0 lead following the Ng extra point.

With 37 seconds left in the half, Wade connected with Martin Dorsey on a 26-yard touchdown pass to give the Crusaders a 28-0 lead.

It would be Dorsey’s first of two touchdowns in the game.

The Crusaders would add four touchdowns in the second half and cruise to the win.

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, November 3 when they visit Lafayette.

Game time is set for 12:30 p.m.
