“I'm 33. I think it just came at the right time. You know, lucky threes, you’ve got to be at that age before you get that. It’s a relief as a striker. It was just one of those days, though. I just felt good from warm up. Not just me, I was scoring from the warm up, but the guys were [too]. Every ball was going in the back of the net and I was like, 'Wow it just feels like a special day today.' Seriously, when the game started, it may have been after the first, I just had that feeling that we’ve got to just keep pushing. It doesn’t matter what happened – we’ve got to keep going," said Kamara after the game.
The Revolution improve to 9-12-15 on the season and are now in 8th place in the Eastern Conference.
Kamara Goes for the Hat Trick
Kamara got the Revolution on the board in the 26th minute when he finished off a cross from Scott Caldwell to put New England up 1-0. The goal was the 100th of his MLS career.
Kamara would give the Revs a 2-0 lead in the 75th minute off a give-and-go with Lee Nguyen. His third goal came on a breakaway in the 89th minute to put the Revs up 3-0.
New England’s Teal Bunbury closed the scoring in the second minute of stoppage time to give the Revolution the 4-0 win.
