The draw pushes New England’s record to 6-4-3 on the season, while the Fire fall to 5-7-3 on the year.
Revs Tie the Game
The game remained scoreless the majority of the way before Chicago’s Bastian Schweinsteiger scored in the 63rd minute to put the Fire up 1-0.
The Revolution would strike back in the 82nd minute when Bunbury scored off a pass from Diego Fagundez to tie the game with just minutes left.
The goal is Bunbury’s ninth of the season and matches his career high for goals in a single season, previously achieved in 2011 with Sporting Kansas City.
He has scored all nine of his goals in New England's last 12 games, including four in the club's last five matches, and is tied for the third most goals in MLS this season.
The Revolution return to action on Wednesday, June 13 when they visit the San Jose Earthquakes
